I wear a 40 and I took the mider pants in size L. The stomach went really well. With an M, it would probably be even more extreme. The bars provide an additional straight posture. It couldn't be better. Top price/performance.

These are in a practical cyclist's length and have a really nice tip on the leg. The underpants are relatively thin and made from a very smooth, comfortable fabric that feels like a second skin, but without squeezing or cutting in anywhere. In general, they are super well made.
